Since 2011 Stand Tall for PTS has garnered support from all corners of the globe and from a wide range of people equally interested in the treatment of PTSD and the welfare of those afflicted by it.
They include four former Chiefs of the Defence Forces, two of whom became Governors General of Australia. One former CDF, Sir Angus Houston is the Patron of Stand Tall. Kim Beazley, a former Minister for Defence, Opposition Leader and Governor of WA is another supporter.
On the clinical and research side we have Dr Andrew Khoo, the CEO of the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation, Dr Madeline, and Professor Alexander McFarlane, possibly the world’s most prominent expert on mental trauma.
Internationally there is Dr Barbara Van Dahlen, the former Chief Executive of the Presidential Task Force for Veteran Suicide out of Washington, Dr Walter Busuttil from Combat Stress in the UK and Jeff Thompson representing the NYPD.
