Stand Tall 4 PTS

What We Do

Since 2015, after a very slow start, Stand Tall has achieved much. We believe that we are now, arguably, the foremost totally volunteer entity in this PTSD space. In early 2015 we were the charity attached to the Prime Minister’s Cricket Match in Canberra and then later that year we staged our first International Forum, PTSD15. Since then we have staged two more International Forums with hosts of global presenters.

We have also mounted two convoys of military and first responder vehicles and personnel travelling the highways of SE Australia. Along the way we made presentations at clubs and RSLs and conducted hundreds of interviews. Our convoy in 2018 partnered with the Invictus Games in Sydney. On the proactive side our Forum in 2022 concentrated on three subjects, Transition, Suicide and Models of Care. 150 of the best International minds in this space took part and a booklet of recommendations from them was compiled by the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation and presented to every politician, state and federal, in the country.

Two national fundraisers have been attempted but the Australian public has proved to be quite apathetic on the subject of mental health.

Since 2022 Stand Tall has now moved on from just awareness and is now endeavouring to be more proactive.

Stand Tall has also been responsible for a number of national awareness advertising campaigns with the help of Rapid Media. These are all pro bono and we thank the Australian media for their cooperation. They know how important this is.
